Speaker 1:

Welcome. Welcome back to the AI Conversations. I'm your host, sahar, the AI Whisperer, here to hear another steaming episode into your cup. Today we are grinding into how artificial intelligence smoothens out our daily routines, just like a coffee grinder ensures your beans are perfectly prepped for brewing. Before I start into today's podcast, I had some of you asking me if I can share some of the new updates that are happening as we go every week.

Speaker 1:

So this is a few of them. One of them is how you can assign your own style preference to ChatGPT. Instead of someone reading your email or reading what you have and they say this is written by AI. So there are a few things that you can know, some giveaways that you can know if something is written by ai. So there are few things that you can know, some giveaways that you can know if something is written by ai when it has unnecessarily conclusions or it's all of bullet points that are eight or ten of them, uh. When it has excessive adjectives like uh instead of adjectives like uh instead uh, simply reduced, you know and frequent uses of specific words. Um, so if, if you see all that, you can kind of feel that is done by ai. So to overcome that, especially chat gpt and claude. Both have a memory now that you can actually train it on your own style. Like I said in the last episode, you can share samples of your style and ask it to remember your punctuation style, the way you use the verbs, the words that you use, the simplicity or not of how you write your voice, how you make your sentences, how you use adjectives, how you use commas and points and when you start a sentence, and it will remember next time you do it. You can always give it a sample of a writer, like ask it to look at man in the sea by hemingway and analyze his writing style, and then you can ask your chat gpt to remember that style and whenever you start writing something, you revoke that memory of that style and it will write it for you.

Speaker 1:

So this is just a little bit thing that I wanted to share with you. Also, claude, that is done by the parent company that this Quora is advancing a lot, you know, and it's like almost toe-to-toe chat GPT in my opinion. I'm not saying that everybody is gonna believe in that, but I just wanted you to know that. What else? What else I wanted to share with you? So this is our few things that I want to make sure that you know before we move in and also plan.

Speaker 1:

Ai is not only chat, gpt, so you have copilot, you have gemini, uh, you have cloud. These are only few of the ones that are the top, and I wanted to share some of the tools that you can use. So, for example, for audio, if you do a podcast, you can use Riverside. You can use this script, uh. You can use Synthesia. You can use Opus clips, uh. For writing and editing, you can use Grammarly, so it though it's a little bit um difficult to use, in my opinion there is Hemingway that you can use, and there is read that dot ai for work automation, of course, zapier, as you know, is one of the best. For design, you can use adobe, generative fill, beautiful dot ai and canva. Canva has its own artificial intelligence platform now, and I love it. I just wanted to share a few of the tools, and I'm going to keep doing that as we go, and if you want more tools, let me know.

Speaker 1:

So let's kick things off by talking about one of the most personal uses of AI your smartphone assistant, whether it's Siri, google Assistant or even alexa, these ai powered helpers are becoming as essential as that first cup of coffee in the morning, right, and who doesn't like the cup of coffee can function without it. Think about it. When you ask your phone to set an alarm or inquire about the weather, you are interacting with a sophisticated AI system. These assistants understand natural language, interpret your requests and learn from your habits. They make life a little easier, a little smoother, much like a barista who remembers your order and starts preparing it the moment you walk in. Don't you love that?

Speaker 1:

Moving from our phones to our homes, smart home devices are another fantastic example of AI in everyday life, from thermostats that adjust themselves based on your preference to fridges that can suggest recipes based on what's inside of them. These are not just gadgets. They are ai systems making thousands of decisions to streamline your day. And how do these devices get so smart? It's all about data and algorithms. Just like how you might adjust your coffee grinder to get the perfect grind of an espresso versus a French press, smart devices adjust the responses based on the data that you receive from your interactions. That's why I always say I'll keep repeating that garbage in, garbage out.

Speaker 1:

Let's not forget about security, both physical and online, ai is working quietly in the background like a vigilant coffee shop manager. Home security systems use AI to differentiate between a regular visitor and a possible intruder. Online ai helps filter out spam from your email, much like how a coffee filter keeps the grounds out of your cup. But ai doesn't just make life convenient, it also learns and adapts. Consider how streaming services recommend shows and movies, like on Netflix and Prime. By analyzing what you watch and when you watch it, these services use AI to predict what you might like next. It's like a coffee shop playlist that adapts to the mood and time of the day, always aiming to enhance the atmosphere.

Speaker 1:

Now, developing this technology isn't as simple as brewing a standard pot of coffee. It involves complex programming, heaps of data and continuous testing. Developers train AI using a variety of methods, ensuring these systems can handle tasks accurately and efficiently. And yet, despite all these advancements, the aim is always to enhance human life, to make our life a little better. As we wrap up today's chat, remember that AI, much like coffee, is here to complement our lives, adding a bit of smoothness to our daily grind.

Speaker 1:

We were celebrating something yesterday, and we have friends that are a couple that is over 82 years old and they travel the world. They go on four or five international trips every year and we told them it's really good day to have them here and the man responded it's a good day when we wake up, when we learn something new. He's trying to learn AI, he said, because if I don't wake up, I don't like the alternative. And he's learning, at 82, ai to make his life better and easier. So next time you interact with an AI, whether it's asking for traffic updates like Waze or getting a movie recommendation, think about the incredible technology behind it. It's there to make your day as perfect as your preferred cup of coffee.

Speaker 1:

Don't be afraid to learn ai. The more you learn about it, the more you can use it, and not ai using us as human beings. They say that ai will take jobs and I say it's not true, but people with ai skills will replace people that are fighting and resisting ai. Ai will take place of the repetitive tasks that we have, actually liberating us and giving us more time for productivity and efficiency. I'm very grateful at the end of every episode that you listened to me and you heard this episode. Thanks for turning and tuning into AI Cafe Conversations. I hope today's episode has enriched your understanding and appreciation of the AI that permeates our daily lives. Don't forget to subscribe. Share it with your friend. Share your thoughts again. If you have any questions, if you want me to answer something in specific, leave it in the comments below. Until next time, keep your coffee strong and your curiosity about stronger.
